Hardware services
Hardware services concern the physical components of a computer: in practical terms, everything you can touch. Many components can be repaired, including circuit boards and power supplies, while others need replacing, such as hard drives and memory. Whether your desktop PC was assembled from individual components or purchased as a complete branded system, we will provide the best possible service. Here are some of our most frequently requested services:
Replacement of damaged or
faulty components
This service includes diagnosing and testing a component suspected of being faulty. Sometimes a component gives misleading symptoms and simply needs cleaning, for example.
Diagnostics for a desktop
computer
This service is most often needed when a computer does not work or produces errors during use. Computer diagnostics follow a systematic process to trace the problem. Components are removed and replaced with working alternatives, followed by tests to see whether the fault remains. This process of elimination identifies the defective component.
Maintenance for a desktop
computer
Desktop computer maintenance includes a series of procedures that help your computer run better. It is performed without an existing fault and often prevents faults from developing. Without timely maintenance, a computer is more likely to overheat and suffer component damage. We provide thorough maintenance according to a dedicated procedure, using high-quality parts and supplies. Computer components are cleaned of dust with compressed air or other methods and checked for thermal problems.
Thermal optimisation and overheating prevention, replacement
of thermal paste and thermal pads
Thermal problems, commonly called overheating, most often affect components running at higher clock speeds, such as processors, graphics cards and RAM. Timely servicing and replacement of thermal pads and thermal paste help extend component life. Repeated overheating accelerates wear and can lead to damage. Components working under heavy load for most of the time need more frequent servicing. Gaming computers and cryptocurrency mining rigs are typical examples. These systems operate at full capacity for long periods, making overheating more likely. We use top-quality thermal pads and thermal pastes available on the market to ensure reliable, long-lasting operation for our customers' components.
Computer upgrades
A computer hardware upgrade is a complex task that requires skill to carry out correctly at home. We do not recommend that users attempt it themselves. Our repair centre has high-quality technical equipment and supplies, which are essential for a successful desktop upgrade. Users often buy components that are incompatible with the rest of their system or overlook small details that later affect operation and performance. When our technicians carry out an upgrade, they take responsibility for correct installation and hardware compatibility.
Graphics card
repair
We are one of Ruse's leading electronics repair centres and provide graphics card repairs nationwide as well as locally. New and returning customers trust the reliable solutions we have provided for more than 15 years. At Tehnologichno, we understand when and how a graphics card should be repaired.
What is a graphics card, and
why does it fail?
A graphics card controls the graphics shown on your display. It is responsible for producing a clear, full-colour image without software crashes. In recent years we have seen more requests for graphics card repairs for many reasons, most notably increasing performance demands. Modern computer games, for example, put a substantial load on the graphics processor and therefore on the graphics card.
NVIDIA versus AMD
The graphics processing unit (GPU) controls a computer graphics card's performance. Before buying one, customers should understand the number of fans, heat transfer and heat pipes, as these all contribute to overall performance. Assess how your computer performs before deciding. Customers should look beyond the brand and test the computer's performance. At Tehnologichno we provide initial assessments.
Computer power supply
repair
Repairing a computer power supply involves dismantling the unit, removing accumulated dust and checking its electronic components to find and resolve the problem. Repairs often include replacing capacitors, diodes or other components. More frequent maintenance, as described above, is recommended to help prevent power supply faults. Nevertheless, power supplies can be damaged by power surges or other external factors. The power supply is the first unit through which mains electricity enters your computer. Inside it, current is transformed and filtered so every computer component receives power of the appropriate quality and quantity. Tehnologichno in Ruse can expertly repair your computer's power supply.
Almost any power supply can be repaired, but in some cases a repair is not cost-effective. Power supplies are available from BGN 30, while some repairs are so complex and time-consuming that they may cost more. In that situation we give honest advice, recommend a replacement and provide a quotation. Of course, many powerful, expensive power supplies are well worth repairing.
Computer system
assembly
Assembling a computer system is a complex process. We begin by carefully selecting its components.
- We assess the customer's requirements and specifications, then select components within the agreed budget. We focus on avoiding performance bottlenecks and leaving scope for future upgrades when needed.
- Once all components are available, we carefully begin assembling the system. The processor is installed in the motherboard socket, followed by the memory and CPU cooler. This assembly is fitted to the case, in which the power supply has already been installed. The remaining components, including the graphics card and drives, are then fitted. Correct cable management is essential: all cables must be arranged so they do not obstruct airflow, allowing the whole system to cool effectively.
- We carefully connect the case's front-panel connectors so that all ports, fans and indicator lights work.
- After hardware assembly is complete, we check that the system operates correctly.
- Next, we check the motherboard firmware version (UEFI or BIOS). If a newer version is available on the manufacturer's website, we update it. The computer assembly process is then complete, and the operating system and software applications can be installed.
Motherboard repair
Motherboard repairs are needed when diagnostics identify a fault on the board. The most common causes are:
- A power surge that bypasses the power supply's protection
- Liquids, dust or dirt reaching motherboard components
- Mechanical damage
- Component failure due to wear
In some cases a motherboard cannot be repaired because its signal traces run through several internal layers. If an internal trace is broken or loses contact under vibration, the fault cannot be resolved. Fortunately, these cases are rare, and our specialists can repair most motherboard faults. Many repairs require expensive equipment and exceptionally precise workmanship. Our Ruse team includes highly skilled specialists, and we have the equipment these repairs require, continually updating our tools. Whatever problem you have with your desktop computer, we are here to find the most suitable and affordable solution. We cannot describe every possible fault and service on one website, but you can trust us with your desktop repairs. Our specialists enjoy a challenge and will be pleased to investigate even the most complicated computer problems.
